Costa Mesa, Orange County
Costa Mesa calls itself the City of the Arts. The Segerstrom Center, which opened in 1986, includes a 3,000-seat opera house and a concert hall with a glass facade. South Coast Repertory stages plays next door, and a few steps away is California Scenario, a sculpture garden designed by Isamu Noguchi and hidden among office towers.
